Appointed as Medical Officer at Khyber Teaching Hospital in March 1992.
Proceeded to UK for postgraduate studies and Training (MRCP). Where worked at Ninwells Teaching Hospital and Medical School Dundee One of the largest and most modern Hospital in Scotland Quilified with MRCP (UK) in 1994.
Selected as Senior Registrar through Public Services Commission in the Dept of Health Dec 1995 and posted at Khyber Teaching Hospital in August 1996. Since than have been working as Teaching Faculty at Khyber Medical College and Consultant at Khyber Teaching Hospital for the last twenty five years. Presently working as Professor incharge of Medical A unit since Feb, 2012.
As Chairman Infection Control Committee at KTH set up the COVID Isolation unit and have been the Clinical Incharge of the Covid Unit. Have been awarded the Pride of Pakistan Award on the 23rd March for the outstanding services during the covid pandemic. Setup the state of Art G.I. Endoscopy Unit at KTH
Area of Expertise
Founding member of Pakistan Society of Physicians organizing its first International meeting in December 2019 in Peshawar.
Member of the steering Committee for the review of the Draft National Medicine Policy of Pakistan April 2020. Have been proudly working in the public service with dedication and devotion for the last twenty nine years for patient care and teaching / training with with passion of large number of medical students and Post graduates of whom a large number have successfully completed foreign training and have returned home to serve in KPK.
