Overview

The Office of the Associate Dean (Postgraduate Medical Education) oversees all postgraduate fellowship (FCPS), PGMI-accredited MCPS/Diploma, and house job training programs at Khyber Medical College (KMC) and Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH).

The office manages the administrative, academic, financial, audit, and research aspects of postgraduate trainees and house officers. It ensures compliance with CPSP, PGMI, PMDC, and MTI standards through structured supervision, regular audits, and departmental reviews.
It also represents KTH/KMC in PGMI and Executive Council meetings to maintain institutional alignment with provincial and national postgraduate frameworks.

MISSION

  • Ensure compliance with CPSP, PGMI, PMDC, and MTI regulations.
  • Promote academic excellence, professionalism, and lifelong learning.
  • Facilitate structured postgraduate and house job programs.
  • Strengthen research culture and continuous quality improvement.
  • Represent institutional interests at PGMI and its Executive Council.

VISION

To produce competent, ethical, and research-oriented clinicians through structured postgraduate and house job programs in a leading tertiary care teaching hospital with advanced subspecialty and superspecialty training.
